7th Semester
- Hist 480 Prof Family History Research
* This class MUST be taken senior year. Hist 480 cannot be taken until the handwriting class has been taken (Hist 420-425). Also at least two or the three source classes need to be taken. It is suggested that the first two have to be taken in previous semesters but the third source class can be taken in conjunction with Hist 480. Hist 482 can be taken before Hist 480 if desired but it must be in the senior year.
8th Semester
- Hist 482 Prof Paths & Credentials in Family History
*Hist 482 can not be taken until handwriting classes and source classes are taken. Hist 482 can be taken before Hist 480 if desired but it must be in the senior year. This class should be taken the student’s last semester. The student should have at least three generations already researched for this four generation project. The student CANNOT start researching at the beginning of this class. Ideally the student should have four-generations researched and then use the Hist 482 class to do 60 hours to polish up the research that still needs to be done. The research family needs to be in the geographical area that the student has previously chosen.
