Student Employment

The History Department provides numerous opportunities for majors to work with faculty as teaching assistants or research assistants. Teaching assistants work closely with faculty in preparing course material, grading some student assignments, assisting in course administration, mentoring students, and occasionally even teaching a lecture themselves. Research assistants work alongside faculty on their current research projects, and may help with gathering and processing data, preparing publications, administrative tasks, and other research-related activities.

The History Department is always looking for excellent student employees: If you are interested in working in a mentored relationship with a History faculty member, gaining valuable experience, and having a great student employment experience, submit an application today.
