Joseph R. Stuart

Joseph R. Stuart teaches US History to 1877 and US History Since 1877. He received his master's degree in religious studies from the University of Virginia and is working towards a doctorate in United States history at the University of Utah. His research examines the relationship of race, masculinity, and religion in twentieth-century African American history. He is currently researching how and why the Nation of Islam rejected integrationist freedom rights movements from 1930-1980.
