Kelly Summers

Kelly Summers teaches in many areas of Family History. She is an Accredited Genealogist® with credentials in US Midwestern, US Pacific, Spain and Mexico. She received her Master’s degree in Educational Psychology, with an emphasis in Instructional Design and Educational Technology from the University of Utah. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Family and Community History, from Brigham Young University. She has taught at Brigham Young University for more than 13 years and is an experienced genealogical researcher in Latin American (including Brazil), Southwestern European (Spain, Portugal, Italy & France), Scandinavian countries & East Asia (China, Japan & Korea). Her research interests lie in kinship research in primary source documents and rural community reconstruction. She also has an interest in the historic role of textiles in the lives of women.
