Center for Family History and Genealogy

The Center for Family History and Genealogy's purpose is to produce genealogical research for the academic and family history community through its various projects. Their mission is to enhance student learning, simplify methods, and conduct top-tier research. The Center is located in the JFSB room 1031 and employs up to 50 student employees at a time. You can find the available job listings prior to and at the beginning of each semester on the BYU student job board.

Currently, the Center is working on the following projects:

  • Welsh Mormon History
  • Early British Census Project
  • Kinship and Poverty in Early Modern Britain
  • Merrell Marriage Index - English Marriages
  • Dade Registers (English Church Records)
