Phi Alpha Theta is the premier international honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of history. With over 600,000 members in 970 chapters across the world, our mission is to promote the study of history through encouraging research, teaching, publication, and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians.

How to Join National Phi Alpha Theta

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

  • Complete a minimum of 12 credit hours in History.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.1 in History and 3.0 GPA overall are required.
  • A student does not need to be a history major to apply.
  • If interested please reach out to one of our advisors.
